PLEASE NOTE: This is an ex-rental pool, it has only been hired out once. It was cleaned and disinfected with Clinell solution when it was returned. These pools are designed for up to 40 uses, so has plenty of life left in it.

The “Birth Pool In A Box Professional Pool ” is a high specification pool designed with high durability and resilience for multiple uses. This is the most popular choice of birth pool available and has proven to be extremely popular in many hospitals in the UK. The Professional pool is designed for up to 40 uses. This pool kit is ideal for a group of Midwives or family and friends who are planning to have babies. The Professional pool meets all applicable Medical Device standards in the EU and USA, carrying the CE mark under the EU Medical Devices Directive 93/42/EEC. This pool is made from eco-friendly material (0.38mm eco PVC Cadmium, Lead and Latex free) and meets EU regulations on maximum levels of phthalates.

Disposable liners are used with the pool. This pool kit comes with a generic, non-fitted, food grade liner. Birth Pool in a Box provides ultimate comfort and safety for women and babies during home birth. It is designed for labour and birth, and exceeds the minimum depth recommended for water birth. Mini sized pools are an excellent option if you have limited space or hot water supply. The mini sized pool will comfortably accommodate

The pool has 6 handles in total, ergonomically positioned to maximise movement in labour. It has an internal seat which is useful, during labour, to adopt various positions and is perfect for providing support after birth to enable skin to skin contact with baby. The oval shape of the pool is perfectly designed to create a secure close space at one end of the pool, and more space for movement at the other end of the pool. The opaque outer walls of the pool provide privacy for the labouring woman.
